WE HAVE BEEN SPENDING A LOT OF WEEKENDS OUT OF TOWN. OUR OWN MINI VACATIONS IF YOU WILL!!

WE HAVE DISCOVERED SOME WONDERFUL LITTLE TOWNS LIKE THIS ONE CALLED YARNELL. IT IS A VERY PRETTY PLACE AND WE WERE SHOCKED WHEN WE FIRST VISITED.

YOU DRIVE THROUGH THE DESERT VALLEY AND THEN UP THIS VERY STEEP GRADE FOR 7 MILES, COME AROUND THE CORNER AND THERE IT IS!!

THIS IS ONE OF THE HOUSES WE CAME UPON IN THIS DARLING LITTLE PLACE.

Boy has time gotten away!! I am having so much fun with my new GSON and spending weekends out of town with my hubby I have neglected my blog!!
Kaden is just a joy! He is growing like a weed and hes a big guy. he just turned 5 months old last week but we had to buy 9 months clothes for him. I think he gets that from his daddy, he's 6'4". Go figure!!
Well I'm making time now and will continue to blog!
I have been so busy I haven't even read my copy of *Blogging for Bliss*. So I will blow off the dust and sit on the porch with my morning coffee and read away!!
Anyways hope all you gals are fine and please let me know what I missed.

THE LITTLE GUY FINALLY ARRIVED! HE WAS TANGLED UP IN HIS CORD AND WAS UNABLE TO COME DOWN THE SHOOT!! lol!! HE IS ADORABLE AND HAS 10 FINGERS AND TOES. HE WAS 7LBS 11 OZ. 20" LONG.
MOM IS READY TO COME HOME BUT I THINK THAT WILL BE TODAY!! SHE COULD USE SOME SLEEP AND SHE WILL WHEN SHE IS HOME AND IN HER OWN BED.
I WILL ADD PICTURES WHEN WE ARE HOME. I LEFT THE CAMERA WITH THEM INCASE THEY WANTED TO TAKE PICTURES.

BABY SHOWER

Well we had the baby shower on Saturday and I was amazed at not only the turn out but how generous all the kids friends were. They received so many gifts and all are very nice. We had 40 quest show and it was a co-ed shower. Brandon is very excited and is part of everything. Even his guy friends all showed up. We had a great time at the park and had a BBQ.

Here is a picture of Tanna and Brandon (he is tall 6'4").

A few random pics and yes you can see how men shop. The pictures of the black onesies are from one of the guys. We had a good laugh!!

Kaden is due May 13th but ill take him now!!! This is my first Grandchild and I'm so excited!!

Well I painted the vanity and now I am trying to figure out what color of glaze to use. I love green and I am thinking of a nice soft green. My bedroom set, bedspread and curtains are vintage and the fabric is to die for!! I will also repaint my walls so once I figure out what color I will then add color to the vanity. I still need to paint my dressers but thats a job in itself!!

I Was so thrilled to find this vanity. I have the bedroom set so now its almost complete!. just looking for the right headboard!!

I purchased this vanity and chair for $20.00. YEAH!! No complaint on the price here!! I love the detailed chair. I brought it in this morning and have just finished the primer coat. I will add the pictures of this delightful project soon!!

Hello my friends!!

I finally finished my desk. I found this piece about a year ago for $10.00..YEP..10 bucks! It is very sturdy but I just didn't care for the finish. So I painted, added gold trim and went over the piece with gel stain to give it a nice timeworn finish.The top picture is the before. Blue with black stuff on it!!I will change out the handles as soon as I find the right ones that I like. I'm happy with the turnout now I'm off to do my bedroom set. Well... I'm planning to soon...

I love to collect little items for projects. I needed a project board to display these little pretties on so I can see them and get inspired to make something. So I took this beautiful antique frame and made one. I used a none floral fabric because the frame has plenty of detail on its own.

Well im finally back from crazy land. I am working on some great projects and cant wait to share. The weather has finally cooled down and my energy level is up. I hope you all are doing well! I have been busy fixing up my studio. I now have a place to set up my goodies. I am selling from home now and it sure beats all the driving I was doing. Things are going well and I will add some pictures soon so you can see my new *Dream Cottage*. I list my pretties on craigs list and have a large customer base that I email to and they love to shop here. Anyways off to work again.. lots to do. This is a chandelier I just finished. It was soooo very neglected!!

Well I'm crazy for vintage and antique lighting! I have more table lamps than one could ever need in a life time. There is just something about these little lamps that I cannot resist. Its the same with little tables, vintage fabric and vintage costume jewelry. Ive been collecting all three for 30 plus years. I purchased my first little side table back when I was about 14 years old.

I grew up with parents that didn't miss an auction. EVER!! What a blast that was!! They were also antique collectors that opened their own store. "The treasure Trove" I used to love hanging out there after school and on weekends. Yep I got the bug early!!

I always seemed to be drawn to what I call the "girly girl" things, vintage jewelry, lace, little crystal or glass lamps. I realized some time ago I picked this up from my Grandmother and my Great Aunt. When I was little I loved going to their houses because they had bedrooms to die for. High antique beds layered with lacy dust ruffles and the sweetest coverlets. The dresser had the antique brush sets, rhinestone jewelry, lace doilies everywhere. I sure miss those days with Grandma!
